Photos/Audio: Concert in Prague

The Blog from Prague

Here are some photos from our visit to Cesky Krumlov today. I have now had duck four times and each time is better and better. Duck and dumplings — nothing better. Bernie Pikal and I also had a (Budweiser beer — the original) in Budwas. They have been making the beer for more than 700 years, 500 years prior to birth of the USA.

Everyone is having a great time.

In the morning we leave for Leipzig.

The are photos are from today’s concert at St. Salvator Church in the old part of Prague — with six-second acoustics. Incredible.

Some of the people from last night’s concert traveled into Prague just to hear us again. Both concerts were well attended and three encores at each show. They just could not get enough of us and we loved it.

-- Mezzo Soprano Rissa Arias (who has sung with the FGCU Opera concerts, The Bach Ensemble of Naples, is a soloist at First Baptist Church in Naples and studies with Jeannie Darnell at FGCU)

-- Alto Janet Ortenzo (who is the principal at St. Frances Xavier School in Fort Myers, and has sung with the Naples Opera Society, the Bach Ensemble, FGCU opera concerts, and is a student of Ronald Doiron, the Bach Ensemble director.)

-- Bass baritone Carl Ratner, who is the chair of the opera program at Western Michigan University. He has sung with the Naples Opera Society and the Bach Ensemble of Naples, and has provided stage direction for Opera Naples.
