NFL Draft Blog: Picks 31 and 32: Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers

NFL draft

31. Arizona Cardinals & 32. Pittsburgh Steelers
Here we go, the final two picks in the draft, and we got the two best teams at the end of last season - and appropriately enough, both made pretty smart picks!

Arizona took Beanie Wells. FINALLY. Poor guy, probably didn't see that one coming, congrats to him on winning this season's Aaron Rodgers award! They needed him, though, because Edgerrin James won't be back, and Tim Hightower was alright in spots last season but clearly benefits from having another guy on the team to keep him fresh.

Pittsburgh took Evander Hood, and that's a good pick too. Yeah, they have Casey Hampton, but they have guys everywhere - that's why they won the Super Bowl last season! The only other guy I might have gon with here is Darius Butler, but the Steelers play in the NFC North, where running the ball is still the primary mode of offensive transportation, so staying strong and deep up front is sensible.

Up Next
We'll find out how serious Zona is about getting rid of WR Anquan Boldin by whoever else they take from this point forward, but Pittsburgh needs guys on the offensive line bad and should address that before it's all over with.
