City Furniture opens in North Naples

Posted August 2, 2008

I went to check out City Furniture. It is a huge store along with Ashley Furniture Home Store. It is nicely displayed, easy to find your way around and the sales people were friendly and wanting to help. It is a very reasonable priced store featuring a lot of the dark wood furniture.

The modern Sao Paolo Collection fits into small spaces with its clean lines and affordable pricing. The platform bed was $299,dresser and mirror $799, available in two finishes. Sofa $499 and matching chair $399.

I noticed several bed sets with huge posts and canopies in the Old World style. You will need a big room for this.

The cottage look is still popular in the cottage white in bedroom sets and dining room sets. The high dining table with four bar-height chairs is $799. Matching buffet and china is $999. It also comes in pine.

There is a variety of choices from the more contemporary with clean lines to the more traditional looks. You can buy a whole bedroom set from $799. Some of the beds were only $299, or you can buy individual pieces. A sectional was $999, a 5-piece living room $1299. That includes a sectional, cocktail table and two end tables.

Microfiber sofas can be had for $499-$999. Leather starts at $999. A small dining set runs $399, or a kitchen set with four chairs and a glass top, $599. There are some higher priced sets like the Shore 5-piece dining table and four chairs at $1499.

You can choose from more than 100 different sofas including sectional, recliners and sleepers.Wall units at $999, plasma stands, $599.

In Ashley I saw a pair of lamps starting at $119. Accent pillows $29. Chenille throws $24.There was a large rug department for area rugs starting at $149.

They had some nice accessories to either hang on the wall or use as a center piece. Also a selection of mirrors.

Featured in their bedding department is Sealy, Simmons and Tempur-pedic with Sealy starting at $299 and Tempur-pedic starting at $1449.

They are offering no interest until 2012 and delivery today everyday!

The thing that got my attention was a coffee bar serving Seattle's Best. They serve espresso, latte and the macchiato hit the spot! There was also snacks and cold drinks. Great idea to have in a big store like this!

If you are looking for some affordable furniture be it one piece or a whole house full ... go check it out.

The Naples Showroom is located at 14250 Tamiami Trail North (at Wiggins Pass and Hwy. 41) Phone: 254-1632 Hours Mon-Sat 10-9 Sun 11-6.

Opening soon...the Ft. Myers store at 9951 Interstate Commerce Dr. (near Costco and I-75)

I believe that store should open sometime in October.
