Pre-construction sales under way

Basik Development LLC has begun pre-construction sales for three industrial storage condos and a 45,000-square-foot warehouse at Naples Big Cypress Storage, U.S. 41 East and Basik Road, east of Collier Boulevard. Each of the three subdivided storage buildings will have seven units ranging from 1,215 to 1,275 square feet. Pre-construction prices range from $170 to $180 per square foot. ULI to meet

The Urban Land Institute (ULI) Southwest Florida District Council will host “Learn from the Best” program on Thursday, Aug. 21. The event will be held at the Estuary at Grey Oaks clubhouse, 2785 Estuary Drive, Naples. Registration and networking begins at 5 p.m. with the program at 5:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Alan D. Reynolds, AICP, chairman and chief executive officer of WilsonMiller Inc. Reynolds, who recently celebrated his 30th anniversary with the firm, will share his knowledge about his chosen career path and share his advice on how to make it to the top. The event is free. Grimes speaks at conference

Denny Grimes, president of Denny Grimes & Company, spoke at the 2008 Star Power conference, an annual real estate conference held in Orlando. More than 1,200 real estate professionals attended. Grimes’ presentation, entitled “How to be an expert listing agent,” was part of an opening session and addressed communication techniques for agents and how to effectively price homes to achieve sellers’ goals. Star Power is an elite group of top real estate agents from across the country, averaging more than $35 million in annual sales.

Transactions

• Woodyard & Associates brokered the following leases:

Florida Spine & Brain leased 2,500 square feet of office space at 20 Barkley Circle, Suites 201 and 202 for two years.

Bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Center Inc. leased 2,106 square feet of office space at 4048 Evans Ave., Suite 310, in Fort Myers for two years.

Estero Dental Care leased 1,883 square feet of office space at 9911 Corkscrew Road in Estero for eight years. Robyn Wright and Alex Wright brokered all three transactions.

• CB Richard Ellis, Ft. Myers-Naples negotiated the following deal:

Leaders Furniture leased 4,800 square feet of space at 11360 U.S. 41 in Fort Myers from FM Holdings LP. Scott Miller brokered the transaction.

South Bay Realty

Bob Fogel has joined the company as a sales associate at the company’s Vanderbilt Beach office. Fogel has been an educator for 37 years. Originally from New Jersey, he has been a Collier County resident for 35 years.

Lely Resort & Country Club

Susie Ulrich has been named the community’s sales leader for July. A native of Bath, Ohio, Ulrich received a degree from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minn. In 1984, she moved to Florida and for the past 13 years has worked as a real estate professional in central sales at Vineyards, Stonebridge Country Club and Lely Resort. Ulrich is a member of the Naples Area Board of Realtors, the Collier Building Industry Association’s Sales and Marketing Council and the Women’s Council of Realtors. She also holds a certified sales professional (CSP) designation.

VIP Realty Group Inc.

Casey Merriam has been named the company’s sales leader for July. Merriam specializes in assisting first-time homebuyers with government-assisted down payment programs. He has earned a certificate of achievement from the Collier County Housing Development Corp. for completion of the Homebuyers Educational Instruction course. Merriam serves customers in Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero, south Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Lehigh Acres.

Zach Fischer has been named the listing leader for July. Fischer was born in Naples and raised on Captiva. Fischer was awarded the Top Guns award, which recognizes him as one of the most influential agents in Southwest Florida. He has also been named to the President’s Club.

Paseo

Marcia Erpenbeck, a sales associate for Stock Development, has earned top sales honors for July at the gated south Fort Myers community. A native of Charlotte, N.C., Erpenbeck has 18 years of sales experience. She is a graduate of Gaston College in Charlotte, where she earned a business degree. Prior to joining the sales team at Paseo, Erpenbeck served the company as a sales consultant for the Master’s Reserve neighborhood at Lely Resort and at Grandézza in Estero.

Vivante

Dwayne Frazier has been named the community’s sales leader for July. Frazier is a Florida-licensed real estate broker with more than 20 years of experience in sales and customer service, including executive-level sales management. Originally from Charles Town, W.Va., Frazier moved to Florida in April 2004. He holds a degree in business administration from Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, W.Va.

Pulte Homes Inc.

Vicki Hamm has been named the July sales leader for the company’s Southwest Florida market. Hamm is a sales associate at Hampton Lakes, a neighborhood of single-family homes built by Pulte Homes Inc. at River Hall in Alva.

Hamm is a native of Stratford, Conn., who moved to Florida in 1990 from Carmel Valley, Calif. She attended Broward Community College and Edison College in Fort Myers, where she studied physical therapy. Hamm’s experience includes 11 years of hotel management and serving as a physical therapist in Sarasota, Charlotte and Lee counties.

Hamm has eight years of real estate experience. She joined Pulte Homes in 2002 and has held sales positions at the homebuilder’s communities in Estero and Sarasota.

    Since March 6, coyotes have been fingered in a string of attacks against dogs, cats and goats in Lee and Collier counties. Coyotes have killed three small dogs, injured three others, and caused a man who came into contact with the coyote’s saliva and a woman who was bitten by one to have rabies shots.
