Another arrest has been made in the case of an Estero home vandalized and for over $100,000 in property damage.
Lee County deputies arrested Joseph Daniel Harrington, 16, of 21643 Berwhich Run, Estero, on Monday, on felony charges of burglary to a structure and grand theft.
The arrest brings the total number of teenagers alleged to be involved in the case to thirteen. Deputies say the teenagers broke into an Estero home, stole more than $50,000 in jewelry and electronics, and ransacked the place over several days while the owners were gone.
Some of the teenagers were also charged with stealing a truck from the home and using it to break into other vehicles in Bonita Springs.

What happened to the parents of these kids?
Your spoiled brats are growing up to be narcissistic thugs!
I hope the victimized family prevails in the civil court action, and the parents are held responsible for these delinquent monsters. I'd be fine with the parents spending time in jail too, they need to learn what the costs of their failure is as much as the kids need a lesson so they don't wind up taking part in further criminal behavior.
Luckily no one was harmed physically, but with this mob mentality who knows what they are capable of?
The young man in Cape Coral, who as a youth fed a neighbors cat to an alligator that recently committed murder on a young woman who was his neighbor comes to mind. One thing leads to another, cycle doesn't stop usually with this type of activity it just escalates.

I wonder if this is the beginning of the "lovely human being" career or the graduation of the "lovely human being" career. And for Mr and Mrs Harrington, your son is the reason why the animals eat their young in the wild.

What took so long to arrest this bum? Is he related to some high up entity. Everyone of the others arrested knew this jerk was there and so did the police, so why the delay in getting him?
The poor children are all just the victims of poor parenting, and now we all pay. Good cause for skimming the gene pool. They should all be force to relocate outside of the county lines. Each parrent should be sent to jail with the child in a shared cell for a few years. Maybe then the parent will learn how to relate and teach, or not!

These are the same parents that go to the school every time there kid gets in trouble and blames the teachers. These kids are little wannabe's. Drug test each one and I can guarantee they will all have something in there system. You little punks should rott in a cell till your 18. Then when you screw up again you can say goodbye to adulthood also.
Pieces of sh#@!

If I had done something like this as a kid my dad would have kicked my A@# then made me go over in person and apologies and then made me work to pay for the damage. Perhaps in this PC world the parents are afraid to put a healthy fear into these little losers and give them a good smack. I think they all need a good hard kick in the pants. I think the parents of these thugs should make them go over and clean up whatever they can and what they can clean up they need to get a job and pay for their mess. In addition they should be mowing the law, painting, cleaning the pool and cleaning the home of their victims on a weekly basis until they move away.

Spare the rod, spoil the child...
It is an old time saying, but then again, their parents would have been jailed for giving them the beatings they deserved.
It really started hitting the fan when teachers and principals and parents were no longer allowed to disipline their students or their children.
So, I don't blame todays parents, I blame todays society myself. Simply, because if the parents had given these kids the disipline they needed to grow up to be respectful youth in todays society, the parents would have been jailed.

The NDN should do a wrap up with ALL offenders pictures in the paper and just not a select few. I do not believe ALL 13 suspects have had their photos published.
Want to curb this type of crime? Publish photos of the arrested suspects. Complete with home addresses.
The NDN has the opportunity to reduce this type of crime with their coverage. Even if it is Estero. Soon it will be Naples, unless measures are taken.
There are a lot on unoccupied homes down here.
Set an example.

Are you for real??? These "white kids" are to be deported to where? They are obviously Americans and you obviously are NOT! Taxes are high, for one reason, because we Americans support those illegal residents that SHOULD be deported. Wonder if you have your "green card"?
