No injuries in Immokalee house fire; investigation continues

A house fire was reported early this morning in Immokalee and no one was injured in the blaze.

The Immokalee fire district reported this morning that its fire marshal continued to investigate the cause of the fire at 613 Edenfield Way. The single family home sustained damage, but no one was injured.

Immokalee firefighters, the Collier County Sheriff's Office and the Florida Highway Patrol all reported to the scene.

Deputies reported flames and smoke when they arrived on the scene shortly after 1:50 a.m.

    Since March 6, coyotes have been fingered in a string of attacks against dogs, cats and goats in Lee and Collier counties. Coyotes have killed three small dogs, injured three others, and caused a man who came into contact with the coyote’s saliva and a woman who was bitten by one to have rabies shots.
