Yet another outstanding example of biased, uninformed, mainstream liberal media reporting. Odd, considering Collier County is a Republican County. Way to be out of the loop Naples Daily News.

Out of the loop? Well it a time for change. You have a choice, shouldn't they? Since this a republician county, can dems vote here?

NDN wants private luxury water front condos instead of marinas. I guess the wealthy read more newspapers than boaters do.
Vote yes on amendment 6. Right now marinas and working water front are taxed as highest best use, which means high rise condominiums. This is going to drive marinas out of business. Save your access to to the water, vote yes.

Ranger and everyone else - absolutley ridiculous to not vote YES on Amend 6. Why should a marinia or tackle shop or even a 7-11 be assessed the same as a multi-million dollar condo that would bring a bigger price and thus more tax revenue. IMHO, the best use of a particular piece of land is what it is being used for currently. If the current owners felt they would be better served by changing the property, they would. But because they do not, they should not be penalized because of someone else's opinion.

Remenber when America was enjoying "Happy Days"? I think Ron Howard says it best. http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/cc65...

BO is just another Dem in the vein of Jimmy Carter and may perhaps be worse.
He's just an empty suit who offers socialism.
I can't understand how normally intelligent people cannot see what he's be saying:
He's going to take your money and do with it what he wants because you're not smart enough to do the right thing with it.
Wake up!

Personally, I don't find any reason why proposed amendments no. 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 need to pass. Tax policy is an issue that we should vote through our representatives, not creating a permanent contitutional amendment which takes the issue off the table for everyone.
Amendments should be reserved for issues either beyond the scope of the legislature or too controversial to get a fair vote in a legislative bill. So my vote is no for all of them.
