COLLIER COUNTY — A former Collier County deputy accused of molesting a 15-year-old boy at Coastland Center mall made a brief appearance in court on Wednesday.
Charles Bullock, 52, is charged with one count each of lewd and lascivious battery of a child over 12 and official misconduct, felonies that could land him in prison. He was fired from the Collier County Sheriff's Office following his arrest in April 2010.
Collier Circuit Judge Fred Hardt delayed Wednesday's hearing, a pretrial hearing, for June 29. He set a new trial date of July 11. Bullock, who is free on bond, appeared with attorney Jerry Berry.
Naples Police detectives say Bullock performed a sex act by force on the teenager in restrooms at the Coastland Center mall in January and February 2010.
Wednesday, Berry told Hardt he had yet to depose the victim in the case, as well as an investigator.
As in any case, trial dates are subject to change.
