Catch of the Day: Southwest Florida anglers show off the big ones

The Naples Daily News and naplesnews.com are showcasing fishing photos from throughout the region. Anyone can submit a photo for inclusion. Ideally, submissions will include a photo of the fish and angler, location, type of bait or lure, fishing and weather conditions or a general description.

Example: Jane Doe of Marco Island caught this 200-pound tarpon while fishing near Doctors Pass with live mullet on a calm morning.

Photos will be selected from the gallery each week and used in our publications, such as the Naples Daily News, The Banner, Marco Eagle and Collier Citizen.

There is no cost associated with submitting content. It's just another chance to brag about your catch. Please email your photo to news@naplesnews.com to be considered for this feature.

This is a very inappropriate picture and caption. It does not refelct the sense of family values that we need now. Due to this type of yellow and sad journalism I will STOP blogging effective immediatley. Although I grieve at this lost I will carry on with my family value crowd. I love the USA. Do you?

Apparently I offended someone by giving Trisha Borges a compliment. Oh well . . . This is Naples after-all.

Btw, nice snapper! Oh my mistake, that's a grouper. :)
