Collier County Sheriff Kevin Rambosk filed for re-election Monday, rounding out a list of the same three candidates who ran against one another in 2008.
Rambosk, a Republican, will face off against private investigator Victor Ortino in the August primary election. Vincent “Vinny” Angiolillo, a local businessman, is running as an independent.
Rambosk took office in 2008 after winning about 75 percent of the vote, compared to Ortino’s 20 percent and Angiolillo’s 5 percent.
Rambosk said he would release details later this week about his campaign’s vision for the future, which is meant to reinforce the agency’s Community Safety Plan.
“It’s a comprehensive plan with new ideas and new directions for keeping the community safe,” he said.
