They fear him?
We have heard several current and former congressmen express concern about Newt Gingrich being the next president.
Several expressions of concern have included some dialogue about how the former speak of the House was difficult to work with and very demanding.
My first reaction was that these comments were important to consider, for they provided a serious insight into Gingrich's character.
On further reflection, I wondered about who was making these comments — the very people of whom we have a 90 percent unfavorable opinion and who we want to "throw out" of Congress.
Tom Delay, one of the spokespersons and also a former speaker, was forced out of Congress on ethics violations and spent time in jail.
Are these the people who I am to trust?
Perhaps, in fact, these congressmen are the very ones who "do nothing" and do not want their Washington ways to be disturbed. Their objections may well be that they fear Gingrich will force them to change their focus to real issues and not their re-election.
If this latter thought is more nearly right than my first reaction, perhaps Gingrich should get the Republican nomination.

Every democrat in the nation thought Newt was the best republican candidate.
Keep up the good work cheering for him to overtake Mitt again.
