Lee BIA's 2012 Parade of Homes starts Thursday

FORT MYERS — The Lee Building Industry Association's 2012 Parade of Homes offers residents and visitors the opportunity to view 42 decorated model homes throughout the area — all at once.

The 26th annual event will be held the first three weekends of February, Thursdays through Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. The dates are: Feb. 2-5, 9-12 and 16-19. Admission to all models is free.

What's new this year?

This year's Parade of Homes has seen an increase in builder participation. Caitlin Hustrulid, director of member services for the Lee BIA, who coordinates the Parade of Homes explains, "We are very pleased to present 42 premier model homes for 2012 — an increase of 10 homes from last year. It will give people the opportunity to see more variety and also shows a great sign for our local industry."

2012 Parade of Homes Guide Maps will be available the first week of the parade. For more information, visit: www.BIA.net.
