Women's basketball: Ave Maria's Jenkins named Sun Conference Player of Week

Ave Maria University basketball player Sandy Jenkins has been named The Sun Conference's Female Athlete of the Week for the third time this season.

Jenkins led the Gyrenes past Robert Morris University with 18 points and nine rebounds, and then over conference opponent Florida Memorial University with 22 points and 15 rebounds for her 12th double-double of the season.

Ave Maria moved up two spots to No. 23 in the NAIA national poll following the pair of wins.
