— Southwest Floridians may get a chance to catch a glimpse of President Barack Obama.

Campaign officials said the president will be in Fort Myers on Friday, July 20, for a campaign event. No additional details were immediately available about the event.

The stop will be one of four in a two-day swing through the state. The president will stop in Jacksonville and West Palm Beach on Thursday, then head to Orlando and Fort Myers on Friday.

The events, according to a campaign release, will allow the president "to share his vision for moving America forward by cutting taxes for the middle class and reducing the country's deficit."

This won't be Obama's first time in Fort Myers. He visited in 2010 to gain support for his $800 billion-plus stimulus package. That event was held at the Harborside Event Center in downtown Fort Myers, and officials at the time said the 1,500 tickets were distributed within 25 minutes.

While this marks the president's second visit to Southwest Florida, both Vice President Joe Biden and first lady Michelle Obama have visited the area.

The first lady was in downtown Naples in April for a private fundraiser. The event — held at the Inn on Fifth — was attended by about 200 people who paid $1,000 or more to hear Michelle Obama speak about her husband's accomplishments.

Biden visited in 2008 for a rally at Florida Gulf Coast University's Alico Arena. The event was attended by about 5,000 people. Biden also has been to Naples twice — in 2008 and again in 2010 — for private fundraisers.

Those olympic uniforms made by Ralph Lauren-- the same Ralph Lauren who, according to the Federal Elections Commission, on May 7, 2012 --barely two months ago -- contributed $35,800 to the Obama Victory Fund 2012.

And the same Ralph Lauren who on May 31, 2012 donated $30,800 to the DNC Services Corporation of the Democratic National Committee. And $5,000 in $2009 and $2,300 in 2008.

In the case of Lauren's contributions to the DNC in 2009 and 2008? Where was that money going?

That's right. To Harry Reid.

Oh those funny democrats.

The top 20 percent of taxpayers paid 94 percent of the total income tax burden – up from 86 percent in 2007, and 81 percent before the 2001 tax cuts.

The Obama said he only wants to raise taxes on the top wage earners out of "fairness", he knows it will hurt the economy.

Everyone needs to pay their fare share, don't you agree? Time for the bottom 50% to start contributing.

Either way, GM would still be alive, and Osama would still be dead. I'm guessing it took 5 trillion+ Obama bucks to rip the tax payers a new one and keep his sheep happy.

Is that your solution? More poverty always works, right? Once that minimum wage is eliminated, things will start picking up in a big way. There should be a lot of action when that happens. Couple that with reduced public services and "spending", and a conservative utopia will be created even without additional jobs, right?

The Dow would be at 6,000 if the Federal Reserve didn't keep on covering Obama's butt with quanitative easing; which is on its last leg. 13,000 will be history one day soon.

Do not relect him if you want your freedoms in tact or even to know truths about our economy. Just ask St. Louis, Mo who recently had military tanks running down their roads at lunch time intimidating people.

Today, the republican Senate leader blocked/filibustered another clean small business bill that would of cut taxes on real small business, and allowed 100% depreciation of purchases of equipment in the first year. Republicans wanted to add anti-abortion language to the bill about small business.

We will prevent Obama from ever being a second term president!

He's been in office 4 years. He doesn't have a plan. That's the problem. So he needs to step aside. Everthing he has done, what little it has been, since he's been in office has put this country in a bad stance. He needs not to visit anywhere for money. Just stay in Washington and do something productive.

The plan he is running on again was the same one he had last time - do nothing President....

Take off your conservative "rose colored glasses". They have become clouded in the RUSH of things. How Fox-y! However, you may live in your fantasy land forgetful of how the problems you claim exist developed. That is easy enough for bigoted, greedy and "resourceful" individuals to practice under the guise of patriotism, the last vestige of a scoundrel. Don't forget your picture ID on your visit to the polls. Be sure it is one taken in the last few months to prevent any "adulteration". LOL
