From the editor: Our endorsements

The Daily News will start publishing its editorial endorsements Sunday for candidates and issues in the Aug. 14 primary election.

First up: Our recommendation for the Republican nomination in U.S. House District 19, which includes parts of Collier and Lee counties.

Endorsements for Collier and regional contests will be completed before the start of early voting on July 30.

Our endorsements for Lee races will be completed prior to the start of early voting in that county, which opens on Aug. 4.

Agree or disagree with our selections, please get out and vote by absentee, early voting or at neighborhood polling places on Aug. 14.

Had a recording on my phone from a nasally, drippy woman bad mouthing Connie Mack - lasted a long time endorsing someone else. Because of that call I am VOTING FOR Connie Mack. I really dislike spam phone calls.

Why do think it called the good ole boy system !!!!

Tragic that this media outlet is so wrong on so many issues.
1.) Endorsements are a journalist "No-No" even though other hack papers endorse.
2.) Print Reports that let the people decide without the heavy hand of the paper corrupting the community with predjudiced opinions.
3.) It's time to retire, Lylte, Batten, and Lewis and hire some people that are actually reporters.
