A Naples woman suspected of concealing a crack pipe in a car and hiding prescription pills in her bra was arrested Friday, along with two companions.
Collier County sheriff’s deputies arrested Wendy Johnson Vasquez, 39, of the 5700 block of Painted Leaf Lane, Golden Gate, during a traffic stop after the vehicle in which she was riding ran two stop signs.
Deputies said she admitted to shoving a crack pipe between the car’s center console and driver’s seat. After her arrest, she stated she had four pills wrapped in clear plastic hidden in her bra, but “they were not hers,” according to an arrest report. Poison Control later identified the pills as clonazepam, a controlled substance, the report said.
Also arrested during the stop was Jeffrey Morrell Stone, 55, of the 5700 block of Painted Leaf Lane, who deputies observed eating a white substance, which he spit on the ground. A deputy’s drug-sniffing dog alerted to the presence of narcotics in the car. Because deputies found a crack pipe at his feet, they charged him with possessing narcotics paraphernalia.
Another crack pipe was found in the purse of a third passenger, Kristina Lydon, 30, of the 3100 block of SW 42nd Street, the report said. Although she was not the driver of the car, Lydon was arrested on suspicion of driving while her license was suspended. Deputies observed her driving a different car to the vehicle.
The driver of the car was given two warnings for running the stop signs, but was not charged.
