Collier County Commissioner Georgia Hiller wants four more years.
Hiller filed her initial paperwork Wednesday to run for reelection as a Republican for her commission seat in 2014.
Hiller represents District 2, which includes portions of North Naples, including Pelican Bay. She was first elected in 2010, filling the seat vacated by Frank Halas.
She was named the commission chair in December.

The self-absorbed, rolling train wreck wants to continue the insanity...This narcissist has probably cost this community more than any commissioner in history and that is saying something. Remember Tim Hancock, another District 2 champion of a few? Hiller the drama queen represents Pelican Bay, hotels on the beach that want handouts for advertising, a few whiners living on the beach, and that is it.

Big no from my entire family and friends!

FiscCon-
Self-absorbed, rolling train wreck, insane, narcissist, drama queen. Sounds a little personal. Were your advances rebuked by Ms Hiller?
She has been a breath of fresh air saving the county money. She spoke up against raising the tourist tax for the hotel industry, but you say she is for the hotel industry.
I'll think I will put your comments in the irrelevant bin.

In the last few months we has seen a positive direction taken by the board that has to be credited to her leadership as the chair.
BigConservativeVoice writes:
Commissioner Hillard is a breath of fresh air not only in the Collier County Commission but in government as a whole. Imagine that she actually reads contracts and crunches numbers, unlike many in elected office who mindlessly vote on the often misguided recommendations of staff.
The icing on the cake is that her conservative values and principles serve the citizens well as she is tirelessly a good steward of their tax dollars.
Commissioner Hillard you not only have my vote but my support as well.

Good news for all the residents of Collier County. Coyle will be gone when she is returned to office for her second term.

She needs to go - she attacks people, specially staff. She is not a problem solver, I have worked with many people like her they like to point out everything that everyone else is doing wrong, but she provides no solutions. And, most of the time she is very ill informed.
AmericasTrueRecoveryBeginsIn2016 writes:
Does this mean we get to witness the tragic and unfortunate return of John Lundin to run against her?

Will Robin Hood of Immokalee become Robin Hood of North Naples?
AmericasTrueRecoveryBeginsIn2016 writes:
Considering that he's actually Robin Hood of Broward County and only moved to Collier County to run for office, perhaps we'll get lucky and he'll stay on the east coast.
ed34145 writes:
PLEASE for the sake of Collier County, won't someone decent step up and run against her?
BillyBob1 writes:
Glad to see she is running again. We are very lucky to have her.
FiscCon writes:
Smog report: If she's a breath of fresh air you've been in retirement way too long. Shake out the cobwebs and get your prescriptions checked immediately. Redoing everything, hiring new engineers and having study after study done until the desired answer is attained is expensive and foolish and that will be this drama queen's legacy. Your gibberish about the tourist tax reflects misinformation at best. She, the hotels and Jack Wert are and have been redesigning how tourist tax receipts are allocated, and these are reckless maneuvers that will harm the community and go against what the public voted on in referendum. She was endorsed by the hotel industry in her last run, where she gained entry to the commission in a primary with about 5,000 votes only. The other two running had about 2,500 votes each. She has served a few private businesses and a select few whiners in Pelican Bay and living on the beach in North Naples well. The rest of Collier County, especially communities inland and most especially out in Immokalee, should be furious with this nit wit.

You probably don't know her. Lucky for Her.
If you watched the last BCC meeting you would see that she is providing MANY solutions in reforming our problematic and broken local government. Many of the people on staff you referred to have been screwing up for years and need to go. We finally have some common sense people with an education on the board. Fiala is struggling to keep up, and Coyle is walking out on votes.
Just click your heels together 3 times and wish that Coletta was back. OK start now.

Go ahead and cast your vote for "commissioner Hillard"!
Robertofnaples writes:
Why does it seem she's been in office for thirty years? Is it me or does it seem an already disfunctional board of commissioners; became even more dysfunctional, when she came aboard?
lemonjello writes:
We are lucky to have you backing her. It just shows the type of know nothings that support her.
lemonjello writes:
You don't even know her name! I would say there is a good chance she may change it to "Hillard" at some point. Nine times is a charm!
anotherPOV writes:
She's the only true conservative in this county. A political Republican, not a politiician from the Republican religion.

Another amazing post from you. Please do tell about the "Republican Religion". This should be good....

So do you think it more or less dysfunctional?

Commissioner Hiller does her homework and is well prepared for Collier County Board Meetings. This is evident when you tune into these meetings on the local channel 97. Her work and efforts are aimed at representing the taxpayers and making sure our tax dollars are wisely spent. In Georgia Hiller we have someone working for us that is knowledgeable, intelligent and extremely hardworking. Thank you, Commissioner Hiller, for choosing to serve another four years.

She's as big a bully as Coyle if not a bigger one. Listen closely as she cuts people off, pretends to know the law, tries to force being funny, badgers audience members and staff and confuses issues so the average person has no clue what she is talking about. She tries to hide her bias be it her engineering contributors or the PB crowd but it doesn't work. Anyone that thinks she is a breath of fresh air has a short memory. She's not much more than Coyle in a skirt.
