A Kentucky snake-handling pastor previously charged in Knox County with transporting dangerous snakes from Alabama across Tennessee back to his home has died after being bitten by a snake, according to the Middlesboro Police Department.
Authorities found Jamie Coots, of Middlesboro, Ky., dead in his home around 10 p.m. on Saturday. Coots appeared on "Snake Salvation."
The cause of death appeared to be from a venomous snakebite to Coots’ right hand.
Around 8:30 p.m., fire and emergency medical responders arrived on the scene of Full Gospel Tabernacle in Jesus Name.
