Guest commentary: WGCU’s choice a tragedy of Shakespearean proportions
Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008

Guest commentary: DUI checkpoints are expensive — and ineffective
Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008
Labor Day, as the name suggests, celebrates our country’s labor force. But many others — including police officers nationwide — will still be on the job, working tirelessly to ensure the safety of our extended weekend and roadways. Full story »
Guest commentary: Clam Bay, and oversight panel, belong to the public
Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008
The recent guest commentary by a Pelican Bay resident, Ted Raia, offers good reason as to why the Daily News endorsement of a new, broad-based, Clam Bay Committee is right on target. Raia thinks the new committee will lead to “disastrous” consequences. I could not disagree more. Full story »

Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008
While it has slowed down recently, Florida’s growth has boomed in recent years.
