After visiting Wittenberg University, St. John Neumann linebacker Dakota Sexton said his college choice was easy. “There was an at-home feel when I went there,” Sexton said. “It seemed like a good fit for me.”

Naples' Edward Figueroa has an opportunity this week not many other 18-year-olds will ever have. The senior at St. John Neumann High School gets to play in a PGA Tour event before he even goes to college.

Naples' Ed Figueroa won the American Junior Golf Association's Puerto Rico Junior Open over the weekend, winning a spot in the PGA Tour's Puerto Rico Open from March 5-11.

When St. John Neumann's Ed Figueroa was a child he followed his older sister, Courtney, an accomplished golfer, around on the links or to her tournaments.

It won't be a very busy signing day in Collier County.

The Community School boys golf team will be able to look back at this season as one to remember … some day.
