  • Melissa Boltz and Dyam Sanchez, of Naples, were married, Nov. 28, at Moorings Presbyterian Church. Rev. Jim Kirk presided over the ceremony, surrounded by family and friends of the bride and groom. Under the theme of an enchanted forest, the reception was held at Heritage Bay Country Club. The couple is honeymooning in Costa Rica.
  • Megan Roth enjoys a dinner roll while seated on a wooden pallet during the 2009 Farm/City Barbecue, Nov. 25, at Ave Maria. This year’s event drew 750 participants and raised $19,500 for the local 4-H Foundation.

  • Sarah Mitchell, Lely Elementary - An eight-year special education teacher, Sarah Mitchell holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and is working on a master’s in exceptional student education with an autism endorsement. She believes it is important to reach every student at every level of cognitive ability and every learning style. “Every student is willing to learn. It’s our job to break down the individual barriers that impede their learning.” Her hobbies include gymnastics, movies, football, going to the beach and shopping.
  • A GRAND TIME St. Elizabeth Seton Pre-K 3 student Molly Sullivan and her grandmother make a family tree during Grandparent and Special Friend Day, Nov. 20, at St. Elizabeth Seton School.
