The Dig the Beach volleyball tour returned to Fort Myers Beach on Saturday. Tour director Steve Bishop said the tournament was sold out with 350 teams occupying 36 courts on the beach behind the Holiday Inn.
'It's a great turnout,' Bishop said. 'This is always a popular spot.'
Professional players and amateurs competed in men's and women's divisions on Saturday. The tournament continues Sunday with coed, senior and junior divisions.
The tour will make stops in Siesta Key, Fort Lauderdale and Clearwater this summer.
