The Naples Philharmonic Orchestra performed in Immokalee Tuesday, and music students there not only got to hear the orchestra, but make music for it, too. Young Suzuki violin students and mariachi aspirants brought their instruments to the concert, and played for the musicians, who met with students in small groups after the concert.
The concert was part of an outreach component, which is among the goals of the ArtsNaples World Festival this week. Since its theme is Russian, students got to hear selections from a Russian composer: Tchaikovsky's 'Swan Lake,' and two movements from his Fourth Symphony.
