It was a trip to the movies that inspired Dave Osborn’s love for journalism. His parents took the then-11-year-old to see “”All the President’s Men” at a suburban Detroit theater. The next week, he bought his first notebook and the rest is history.
Osborn began working at his middle school newspaper and continued his journalism education at Michigan State University, where he worked his way up from intern to managing editor of The State News. It was at the East Lansing school where Osborn developed his green-and-white passion for the Spartans. He also cheers for all teams from his native Detroit, especially the Detroit Lions that he swears will be in the Super Bowl before long.
When he’s not editing stories, Osborn loves to spend time with his family, go to the movies, watch the TV show "24," read U.S. history and listen to everyone from The Who to Marvin Gaye and other Motown legends.
