Biography
After graduating from Michigan State University and bouncing around Alabama for a year, Jacob Carpenter joined the Naples Daily News as a multimedia journalist in June 2011. Prior to arriving in Naples, Jacob interned at several newspapers, including the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Grand Rapids Press and Birmingham (Ala.) News. At Michigan State, he worked for the student newspaper, The State News, for six semesters, with stints as a police and courts reporter, football reporter and editor-in-chief. When he's not reporting, Jacob enjoys the futile effort of trying to break 80, the even more futile effort of hitting a backhand winner down the line and donning the Green and White for Spartan football games.-
