Centermass = BIGGER target then arms and legs.Plus arms and legs move faster then a large centermass does. Centermass holds vital organs and other critical necessities vital to life.
Isn't that just common sense? Aim for the part your most likely to hit and incapacitate him the quickest so he is no longer a threat to others and to himself?

I will side with CCSO on this one.
A bicyclist strolls by and just decides to point a weapon and he is innocent?

He chose his own fate. This is a textbook example of "Murder By Cop" to me. He was too much of a coward to take his own life so he figured he would have a cop do it for him. He got his wish.
Anyone of you would have done the exact same thing in this incident.
They shot to stop the threat, not kill, not maim, not intimidate, not cripple.
Sadly he is in critical condition BUT because of his own stupidity.
3 cops shoot three bullets each, how hard is that to comprehend?

You can try to crucify the officers and justify this idiots actions however you see fit but in the end they did their jobs and this guy is still an idiot who made a very poor choice.
