The task of director Dawn Lebrecht Fornara and the cast of "42nd Street" is to make the characters come alive off the page. Each movement is choreographed in a style that tells the actors where to move, stand and speak. This is called "blocking." In this scene, some of the chorus girls get into a brawl.
