Talks are already under way for a hospital and charter school next to Jackson Laboratory at Ave Maria, says Maine-based genetics lab vice president and COO Chuck Hewett. He also says expansion to Collier County will not happen without public money and he is unsure whether the county's finance plan would leave any money to attract other biomedical employers. Hewett is this week’s guest on Comcast’s "One on One with Jeff Lytle.’’ Video highlights and partial transcripts of that and past interviews are available at naplesnews.com/oneonone. The entire 30-minute program airs Sunday at noon on Comcast CN14. Lytle is editorial page/Perspective editor of the Daily News.

Boy,the predictions of 7,500 jobs over the first decade, hospitals and for profit treatment facilities, even a medical school, awesome!
So,why do you need to fund it with my tax dollars?
The project sounds so great, why aren't there enough private investors to,"Make it happen"?
Of course,it would be much easier to "spread my wealth",why use their own, right?
For a bunch of so-called conservatives, our local government sure likes "socialism" when it comes to corporate welfare.
Commissioners,"Don't worry Jackson,we'll have you on the dole in no time!"
Jackson,"What,no food-stamps,dang man,yo,what's with this oppression man!"
LOL!
